The Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault holds events

and trainings throughout the year. Most events are held in the month of April

which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and includes events such as

Dine Out for Safety and Denim Day.  If you have any questions about our events,

Free Training! Dynamics of Sexual & Relationship Violence: Working with Youth
Where: 1600 N. Country Club, large conference room

Who should attend: Professionals and volunteers working with youth

What we'll cover: Facts about all types of sexual and relationship violence, including Arizona legal definitions and statistics . Effects of bullying, sexual harassment, sexual abuse, relationship violence, and sexual assault . Why ending bullying reduces sexual and relationship violence . Role of technology in sexual and relationship violence . Preventing and intervening in violence by role modeling and consistent enforcement of policies against harassment and abuse . Helping, not harming: appropriate and effective intervention strategies when witnessing or suspecting bullying, sexual harassment, sexual abuse or assault. Mandatory reporting laws and procedures

Certificates of training hours will be available.
