We are beyond thrilled to announce that Christopher Uhrig (also known as the incredible Monty Simmone Manicure) has been honored with the Desert Sunflower Award by the Arizona Coalition to End Domestic Violence!As a survivor himself, Chris turned his journey into a mission to ensure no one else walks that path alone. Through the creation of Chaos Chord, a drag performance series dedicated to sexual violence awareness, Chris has raised nearly $4,000 for survivor services at SACASA and expanded advocacy across Tucson and Phoenix.From sharing his lived experience in our advocate trainings to bridging drag culture with the principles of bodily autonomy and consent, Chris is a true symbol of resilience.
